Building on the Russian inward visit to the UK in June 2008, the Chairman of the Russian Airports Association has invited UKTI and UK Industry to once again take a number of speaking slots at his association's annual conference that took place in Moscow from 26-28 May 2009.

The association has 258 members including all leading airports in Russia and the Commonwealth States, Russian airlines, equipment manufacturers, consultants and research organisations. The theme of the conference was "Passenger. All attention to him!"

Topics of specific interest to the association include:
- Quality passenger service
- Quality improvement technologies
- Innovative information technologies for airports
- Interior designs
- Registration, E-ticketing / check-in
- Specialised services
- Non-aviation type services: catering, shopping etc

The programme for the visit included two days attendance at the Associations Conference and a major networking reception hosted at the British Embassy on the evening of 27 May.
