Sustainable Aviation – Achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050

The UK aviation industry recognises its responsibility to cut the environmental impact of flying.

In February 2020, ADS as part of a joint group representing airlines, airports and the aerospace industry committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050. The group called Sustainable Aviation published its roadmap which sets out how we will achieve this goal.

The UK is competing for more than $1.5trn of a $7trn global commercial aerospace market in the next 20 years, offering new manufacturing techniques and products that are increasingly sustainable.
