This webinar was aimed mainly at SMEs with a basic understanding of the different types of IP but limited practical experience of it. The webinar focused predominantly on patents and to a lesser extent registered designs, but also covered other forms of IP.
There was an introduction to the different types of IP, what they are useful for and how to obtain them, and looked at some issues specific to the aerospace sector.
Sometimes third party rights are identified which can be a problem to your business and we will looked at how to deal with them.
The current hot topics of 3D printing challenges and AI/software patents were also covered. Finally, there was be a discussion of strategic considerations for attracting investment and the role IP can play in that.
