BIO:
Joseph Butt is a Systems Engineer currently on the Early Careers Scheme at QinetiQ. He joined the company in Sept 2021 after completing his Mechanical Engineering BEng at the University of Huddersfield and an Aerospace Engineering MSc at the University of Leeds, as well as carrying forward two years of experience working as a project engineer for small local engineering firms.
Joe has used opportunities at University to explore and develop himself – a love for playing water polo with friends turned into a committee position which turned into him leading the committee. Here he developed his leadership and management skills while completing his final year in tandem. Currently, he is working toward Chartership with the Institute of Mechanical Engineering (IMechE), is in the process of becoming a STEM Ambassador, and is a part of the New Professionals Forum who are bringing this talk to you.
