Join us for our cycle from Belfast to Bristol
You are here: ADS home ADS Charity Cycle 2026
We’ve all been to those networking events where you’re stuck in a meeting room, awkwardly holding a canapé while wishing you could be outside enjoying the sun. But how often do we get the chance to step away from the boardroom and bond with colleagues in a completely different setting – on two wheels, no less? And better yet, do it all for charity.
That’s why we launched our Charity Cycle in 2025, bringing together members from across the UK for an unforgettable ride.
“Whilst I’m certainly not a cyclist, I joined last year’s ride for the networking with ADS and industry peers, the physical challenge and the great causes. My legs have never quite forgiven me, but I’m doing it again – still not a cyclist, just apparently a slow learner.”
Rob Shepherd – RC Fornax
We are delighted to launch the second interation later this year. Over the course of five-days during August, dedicated riders will swap their laptops for lycra, embarking on a 350-mile journey from Belfast to Bristol, taking in some stunning scenery along the way.
This journey will encompass regional showcases, highlighting the impressive capabilities of our members across the UK.
Each year, we aim to make a meaningful difference by supporting charitable causes that matter to our colleagues and wider community. Funds raised through our Members Golf Day, Charity Cycle Event and Annual Dinner help contribute towards their vital work.
This year’s charity partners were selected through a vote by ADS colleagues from a shortlisted group of nominated causes.
Following that process, we’re delighted to announce our 2026/7 charity partners:
These charities are raising funds and awareness to support life-saving services, improve wellbeing and create opportunities for people facing significant challenges.
Through our partnership, we aim to shine a light on the invaluable work they do throughout our sectors.
The route will average approximately 75-80 miles each day including the following stages:
Participation options include the full event from Belfast to Bristol. We have up to 20 places on a first-come basis.
Can’t commit to the full week? Want to join for just one stage? We’re inviting up to 10 additional participants to join the core group of riders each day.
Interested in joining us? It’s a great way to connect with others, showcase your organisation, and support charities doing incredible work in our communities.
Put your brand in the spotlight while supporting a meaningful cause. Our sponsorship opportunities provide visibility and unique networking opportunities.
Our aims are to expand this unique workforce capability and national advantage by delivering sector investment and knowledge to the frontiers of advanced manufacturing.
