Each year, we aim to make a meaningful difference by supporting charitable causes that matter to our colleagues and wider community.
Funds raised through our Members Golf Day, Charity Cycle event and ADS Annual Dinner help charities continue their vital work and extend their impact across the communities they serve.
This year’s charity partners were selected through a vote by ADS colleagues from a shortlisted group of nominated causes. Following completion of that process, we’re proud to announce that Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, Ordinary to Extraordinary (O2E) and Combat Stress were chosen as our 2026/7 charity partners.
Air Ambulance Northern Ireland provides a vital Helicopter Emergency Medical Service across Northern Ireland, delivering critical care when every second counts. Operating through public support the charity helps save lives and reduce life-changing injuries.
Ordinary to Extraordinary inspires people to step beyond their comfort zones through exercise and adventure while raising funds for children affected by serious illness or disability.
The volunteer-led charity has supported children’s causes since 2006.
Combat Stress is the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health, providing specialist treatment and support for former servicemen and women experiencing trauma-related mental health conditions, including PTSD, anxiety and depression.
From 27 July 2025 to 1 August 2025, 22 cyclists from across the aerospace, defence, security and space sectors came together for the inaugural ADS Charity Cycle. Across six-days, the group cycled 478 miles from Rosyth in Scotland to Farnborough. The event raised more than £13,000 for five UK charities…
The route featured visits to ADS member sites including Babcock, Oxley Group, and Explosive Learning Solutions (ELS), where riders learned about the impressive social value initiatives our industries are delivering to local communities across the UK.
