WHAT IS THE SC21 Delivery BOARD?
SC21 is an Competitveness improvement programme designed to accelerate the competitiveness of the aerospace & defence industry and support the needs of the 21st Century.
The board acts as the focal point for all delivery aspects for the Supply Chain in the Twenty First century (SC21) programme within the Aerospace and Defence Sector.
It acts as the Delivery Board for the SC21 programme, and it provides the operational oversight for the SC21 programme.
The board ensures all participants actively perform their commitments under the SC21 Charter. It also ensures ADS facilitates the programme in line with the direction of the Aerospace and Defence Community.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE GROUP?
The Board undertakes activities related to the Governance of the SC21 supply chain programme and processes.
It provides the overall guidance, direction & priorities of the SC21 programme within the Aerospace and Defence Sector.Responsible to the ADS Council for steering the SC21 programme and reviewing the annual objectives.
The board ensures that all of the interests of the SC21 programme are represented and will therefore include all levels of the Supply Chain, Government & external stakeholders.
It also allows to promote the drive for a common approach for improved supply chain performance and pace of innovation in the industry.
The board receives and approves status reports from the SC21 Project Office. It also examines and advises how the SC21 programmes could be innovative.
The board also determines the roll-out of the SC21 programme across the ADS footprint.
