WHAT IS THE NEW PROFESSIONALS FORUM?
The New Professionals Forum (NPF) is a networking and professional development forum for industry professionals new to the aerospace, defence, security and space sectors. It brings together emerging professionals, helping them develop new skills, and gain a broader understanding of our sectors. The NPF is an inclusive and supportive group and is always keen to welcome new members.

The forum hosts webinars, in-person events and builds partnerships to create meaningful touchpoints. For organisations looking to attract, develop and retain talent, the NPF offers benefits for both individuals and the businesses they work for.

The group has supported many people through learning more about our sectors, building new skills, gaining confidence and making new friends.
As well as participating in our events, there is the option of 'micro-volunteering' - such as hosting a site visit, runing a workshop or joining our Annual Conference planning team.
If you have graduates, apprentices and early-career professionals in your organisation, or they are transferring from other sectors, encourage them to get involved and become part of the NPF community.

Membership of the group is open to all ADS member companies. You need to register a profile in the members area first.

HELP DELIVER THE NPF
The NPF is a thriving community, represented by a core Steering Group led by an Executive Committee that meets regularly to maintain momentum and build on success.
At the NPF AGM on 26 August 2026, members agreed to adopt a lighter-touch governance model for 2026/27. The focus now is on growing and energising the Steering Group, enabling more members to get involved, contribute ideas, and support the delivery of the Forum's activities.

The Steering Group offers opportunities to take on focused, rewarding activities that help shape the Forum, should you wish. From hosting site visits to supporting conference planning and member engagement initiatives, you can contribute in a way that works for you.
