Following today’s publication of export statistics for 2015 by UKTI DSO, Paul Everitt, CEO of ADS says:

“Today’s UKTI DSO figures show that the UK’s Security industry continues to grow at a significantly faster pace than the wider economy. It demonstrates that UK firms are well-placed to deliver the solutions required at home and by international customers in response to the challenging and rapidly evolving threat environment. Through greater collaboration with Government, there is scope for the Security industry to increase still further its share of the international market.

“Although today’s figures for Defence exports are down on last year, on a ten-year rolling basis the UK continues to be Europe’s leading defence exporter and second globally.

“The Defence and Security industries make a direct and valuable contribution to national security and prosperity. The Defence Growth Partnership is supporting close collaboration between industry and government. This is encouraging increased investment in skills, technology and innovation, helping to give UK businesses an advantage in highly competitive global markets.”
