SiG winner ATL powers ahead
Dundee-based turbine component repair company, ATL Turbine Services, which was selected last year for Sharing in Growth (SiG), has invested in new equipment and more staff, including three trainees.
The SiG programme - the Government-backed competitiveness improvement programme with the aim of making efficiency gains - has been instrumental in helping ATL generate efficiency gains and is set to continue for another three years, further supporting ATLs growth ambitions.
Sales grew to £6.5M, up by more than 30% on the prior year and the company generated a seven-fold increase in pre-tax profits to over £1 million.

Over the last 12 months we quadrupled international sales, recruited technicians, engineers and support staff and invested in new process equipment. I’m particularly pleased that we have just added another three trainees to our team, giving more young people a start.”

The Baldovie-based company has secured more than £7 million in contracts thanks to the support of Sharing in Growth and is currently planning a number of significant investments to enable new product development, increased capacity and additional job creation.
