Pitch secures line fit contract with Antonov
Pitch Aircraft Seating Systems Ltd announced at AIX this afternoon, that it has secured a line fit contract with the Ukrainian Antonov company.

Pitch will supply the light weight PF3000 seat to Antonov for line fit on their An-148/158 family of aircraft at their manufacturing facility in the Ukraine.
Commenting on the investment Gary Doy, Pitch Chief Executive Officer said: “We are honoured to be awarded the contract to supply our PF3000 seat to Antonov and I believe this is the start of a long-term relationship between our two companies. Having seen the aircraft and the passion Antonov has for excellent design, we are very excited to join their team and see huge potential for the business over the coming years.”
On careful evaluation of the marketplace Antonov’s specialists found the Pitch PF3000 seat to be highly competitive providing a light weight solution with excellent space for the passenger. They were impressed by the quality and robustness of the seat, technical team specifically noting the ease of maintenance through its unique construction.
Mr Oleksandr Donets, president of the Antonov company commented: “Today we made a new step towards modernisation of passenger regional jets of AN-1X8 family keeping high comfort for the passengers and improving the aircraft characteristics, which permits to increase seating capacity of An-158-100 to 102 passengers, as well as to save aircraft weight.

Gary Doy added: “Being able to announce this contract between our two companies at the Aircraft Interiors Exhibition in Hamburg this year has been a pleasure. The seat is currently flying on the Airbus A320 family.
