CAA International (CAAi) has been certified by the British Standards Institution (BSI) to have developed, implemented and maintained a Quality Management System (QMS) that conforms with the new ISO 9001:2015 international standard.

The scope of this certification includes the development, management and delivery of aviation advisory, training and examinations services to organisations and individuals requiring compliance with international aviation regulations and standards. Prior to the transition to ISO 9001:2015, CAAi was certified against the previous standard, ISO 9001:2008.

Liz Young, Quality and Operations Manager for CAAi said, “This certification is a testament to our strong focus on quality and an integral part of our continuous improvement culture. By meeting the criteria for this standard, CAAi demonstrates our commitment to our customers, to our quality processes, and to continue to, wherever possible, exceed our stakeholder’s expectations.”

In September 2015, the International Organisation for Standardisation released a new revision of the ISO 9001 standard, giving ISO 9001:2008 certified organisations three years to transition. With over 1.1 million certificates issued worldwide, ISO 9001 helps organisations demonstrate that they can offer products and services of consistently good quality to their customers. It also acts as a tool to streamline processes and make them more efficient at what they do.

Maria Rueda, CAAi Managing Director said, “We are incredibly proud of our ISO 9001:2015 certification. It underpins our commitment to provide the highest quality services to organisations across the world. This certification gives us a firm foundation for continual improvement to enhance our customer’s experience. I would like to congratulate everyone involved in helping CAAi achieve this standard.
