When asked about the acquisition Ian Farley, founder and MD of IFTC, said “ABGI is a perfect partner
for us. Both companies share similar focus on the technical expertise of our consultants and are
committed to delivering outstanding service levels, which I believe will be invaluable in ensuring
Northern Irish engineering and manufacturing companies maximise their benefit from innovation tax
incentives, such as R&D tax relief and Patent Box.

Established in 2008, ABGI UK has over 70 staff, with offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester,
Newcastle, Edinburgh and now in Newtownards. Like us, they have a highly experienced and
qualified team of engineers, scientists and software specialists, which is key to preparing robust,
defensible R&D tax claims for companies.

R&D tax relief remains at the core of our business, but we also offer a wider range of innovation
funding services including Grant Funding, Patent Box and Capital Allowances to help Northern Irish
companies accelerate growth and remain competitive in an increasingly challenging and volatile
environment.

We are excited at the prospect of intensifying our support for ADS Group members in Northern
Ireland.”

ABGI has been an active member of ADS Group for over 5 years including active membership in
several special interest groups including aircraft interiors group, Aerospace 4.0, Maritime Interest
group and NATEP PRP group. ABGI's acquisition of IFTC will create more opportunities to get further
involved in supporting ADS Group and its members, helping companies within the aerospace sector
and across related industries navigate the complexities of managing different sources of funding,
and ensuring that successful applicant companies maximise the benefits of all available sources to
accelerate their innovation activities.
