World Mobile Stratospheric is a subsidiary of World Mobile Group, a pioneer in blockchain-enabled telecom networks. World Mobile Stratospheric is developing the StratoMast, an un-crewed, hydrogen fueled, fixed-wing aircraft which will operate at 60,000ft. Equipped with World Mobile Stratospheric’s AI controlled, electronically steered, 5G phased-array, the platform will provide wide-area coverage and support up to 500,000 concurrent direct-to-device high data rate connections over 15,000 square kilometres. In addition, the crewed SkyMast, operating at 22,000ft, will provide disaster resilience and emergency service communications. The smaller SkyMast is based on a Britten-Norman Islander airframe, in flight test in 2026. The StratoMast prototype will be built in 2027, with entry into service projected to be by the end of the decade. In addition to commercial and government telecommunications services, the StratoMast offers high altitude, long range, high endurance performance for dual use applications.
