Explosive Learning Solutions (ELS) Ltd is an independent Learning and Development (L&D) accredited training organisation, consultancy company and major End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO).
Since 2005, ELS has delivered a range of in house Training Needs Analysis (TNA), training design, digital content (blended, virtual and elearning) development and training delivery contracts to UK National Goverment (KPMG Government Campus), UK MOD (Defence Academy/DES), major defence and other commercial and international organisations. Since January 2023, ELS, as an EPAO has won a number of defence and other EPA multi year contracts, continuing to rapidly grow this apprenticeship supporting capablity. ELS applies Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) ‘best practice’ to our work, aligned with appropriate comptencies and internally recognised qualifications.
ELS is a UK Approved Trainiing Organisation (ATO) for City and Guilds (C&G), Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), APMG Interantional, PeopleCert, Association of Project Management (APM), Skills for Justice (SfJ) and Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Level 3 Advanced Certificate and Level 4 Diploma. ELS delivers both Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and bespoke training and consultancy in Projects, Programes and Portfolios Methodologies (P3M) and procurement/defence aquisition skills at either our Harwell Science and innovation Campus training centre, Oxfordshire or at customer sites across UK and overseas.
ELS is a company member of the Institute of Explosive Engineers (IExpE), supporting our Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives (OME) contracts as well as a formally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) training provider. ELS has on site Faclities Security Clearance (FSC) capability formerly known as ‘List X’ facilties. All core staff and most associates are security cleared (SC).
ELS EPAO capability now includes Level 2 apprentice assessment standards such as: Aviation Ground Operative, Express Delivery Driver, Large Goods Vehicle Driver, Supply Chain Warehouse Operator, Customer Service Practitioner, Non Destructive Testing (NDT) Operator, Port Operative, Aviation Customer Service. Level 3 includes: Aviation Ground Specialist, Business Administrator, Team Leader/Supervisor, Customer Service Specialist, Non-Destructove Testing Engineering Technician, Procurement and Supply Assistant, Project Controls Technician, Engineering Technician, Learning Mentor, Transport and Warehouse Operations Supervisor, Data Technician and Packhouse Line Leader. Level 4 includes: Data Analyst, Commercial Procurement and Supply, Electicial Power Networks Engineer, Assessor Coach, Associate Project Manager, Aviation Operational Manager, Improvement Practitioner, Intelligence Analyst, Ordnance, Munitions and Explosive (OME) Technician. Level 5 is Operational and Departmental Manager and Level 6 is Non Destructive Testing Engineer.
