Launch of the Space Technology Exploitation Programme
Eighteen projects aimed at boosting the space sector across the UK are to receive funding from the UK Space Agency, one of those is the Space Technology Exploitation Programme (STEP).
ADS will oversee the pilot programme enabling space supply chain SMEs in Northern Ireland to engage with large companies and use innovative, new solutions to overcome their technology challenges – unlocking new potential markets and building UK space capabilities.
Commenting on the programme, ADS Director Northern Ireland, Leslie Orr said:
"The award to launch the pilot Space Technology Exploitation Programme (STEP) Programme in Northern Ireland is an important opportunity for Northern Ireland to showcase its innovation and expertise in emerging space related technologies.
"Northern Ireland is a region renowned for its supply chain excellence, and I hope to see SMEs operating in the Space sector take part in the programme, engaging with large companies and accelerating space technology innovation."
