The Accelerating Commercial Pathways Programme forms a key part of the ambitious transformation across defence set out in the Strategic Defence Review and Defence Industrial Strategy, with a focus on shaping how defence procures, engages with industry and brings innovation to the front line at pace.
Accelerating Commercial Pathways is driving pace, adaptability and innovation in procurement by giving MOD teams the confidence and tools to harness commercial flexibilities and move beyond rigid, compliance-driven processes. Each Commercial Pathway acts as a handrail to allow teams to better tailor their commercial approaches, harness flexibilities in procurement legislation, and embrace proven, more innovative commercial ways of working. In turn, suppliers should see more purposeful engagement, better designed procurements and faster decision-making.
