Following successful Public Security Exhibitions (PSEs) in Poland in 2022 and 2019, ADS is hosting a PSE in Warsaw in collaboration with the Department of Business and Trade and the Home Office, hosted by the British Embassy in Warsaw, to showcase the UK’s capabilities in the security sector.

The event will take place on 6 November 2024, in the PSE format of an invitation-only tabletop exhibition, with invitees from selected buyers across the private and public sector.

Modernisation of the Polish security apparatus is well underway, with the new act on civil protection several programmes in place or undergoing legislative review. Under the proposed legislation modernisation programme, approximately 10bn PLN (ca £1.86bn) will be dedicated to the modernisation of the police, border guard, fire service and State Protection Service of which around 4.3bn PLN (ca £800m) will be spent on investment and equipment. In addition, approximately 1.9bn PLN (ca £352m) will be dedicated to the Polish Prison Service. 

Specific capability areas of interest are as follows: 

  • Counter-UAS equipment, infrastructure and solutions
  • Long distance communication systems equipment infrastructure and solutions
  • Automated border technologies
  • Solutions for development and modernising of barrier / perimeter system existing alongside the Eastern border
  • Armoured and specialist vehicles for police and border guard
  • Various security equipment for the police and the border guard, including PPE
  • Solutions for civil protection/resilience and securing critical infrastructure

With these capabilities in mind, attendees are expected from:

  • Police
  • Border Guard
  • State Fire Service
  • Polish State Protection Service
  • Private CNI providers
  • Transportation providers (primarily railways and airports)
  • National Bureau for Security
  • Government Centre for Security
  • Other Government ministries

Event Format

The format for the event will consist of an early evening informal reception on 5 November. This will be followed by the tabletop Public Security Exhibition on 6 November, with capability and doctrine discussions supported by UK government representatives. The event will conclude mid-afternoon to allow for return travel to the UK.

Estimated Cost

An indicative costing to exhibit at the event is £1,550 (+ VAT) per company.
