ADS are delighted to host with Bird & Bird a members’ discussion on the new Procurement Act. The discussion will allow ADS members to hear from the Ministry of Defence experts on Public Procurement – who have led the implementation of the new act within the MOD, training over 2000 MOD civil servants in how to apply the legislation, as well as industry leads who have supported the introduction of the act and have a wealth of knowledge in government contracting.
The UK Government’s new UK Procurement Legislation goes live on 24 February 2025. This radical change to UK Public Procurement will change how the UK Ministry of Defence procure over £38bn per year of Goods and Services. This session will focus on the changes in legislation and its impacts on the Defence Industrial suppliers and offer practical tips and insights for Industry when responding to defence procurement requests and contract changes. We will discuss the experience of the first few weeks of implementation and what that tells us about how the new legislation will shape future procurements.
Join us for what promises to be an interesting and insightful session.
