The ADS security team has just launched a brand new in-person briefing focused entirely on Resilience. This session is designed to give you an up-close look at how authorities navigate and manage major incidents, while also equipping you with practical guidance to help you and your teams be better prepared for the unexpected.
Major incidents, critical incidents, terrorism, cyber-attacks, severe weather…all seem to be happening with more regularity and increasing severity. Societal responses to these incidents, be they from deliberate or natural causes, are becoming more important as their frequency increases and their impact widens. Much attention is focussed on what ‘the authorities’ will do during these incidents but it is becoming increasingly important for all of us, as citizens and businesses, to make our own preparations to deal with these incidents.
The Physical Security and Resilience Special Interest Group (SIG) is holding an in-person event with speakers from the Metropolitan Police, the London District Military Headquarters and a security consultancy to detail what you can, and can’t, expect from the security services during such an incident and what you should be considering for your own preparedness.
