RUCAS - Robotics, Uncrewed, Counter, Autonomous Systems

Special interest group

WHAT IS THE RUCAS - Robotics, Uncrewed, Counter, Autonomous Systems (RUCUS) SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP?

The technologies and programmes represented by uncrewed systems are increasingly extending beyond drones and counter-drone systems alone. Common sensors, autonomy, communications and command systems are now being developed and integrated across air, land, surface and subsurface platforms, making a broader cross-domain group both timely and more representative of the work being undertaken by industry and the MOD.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE RUCAS SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP?

This Special Interest Group acts as a forum for members to:

  • Engage in business to business and pre-procurement networking
  • Act as an industry reference group in the Defence and Security Supplier Sector for UAS and CUAS within UK
  • Identify and cooperate on UAS and CUAS business opportunities to the public and private sectors
  • Act as the focal point for engagement with UK Government stakeholders
  • Shape national and international policy, legislation and standards for UAS and CUAS.
  • Interact with other relevant SIGs such as CBRN, Counter-EO, Land and Maritime Interest Groups

Participation in future physical RUCAS brochures is optional, with members wishing to be featured paying a one-off inclusion fee towards design, production and printing.
