RISC International

WHAT IS RISC INTERNATIONAL?

The UK’s Security and Resilience Industry Suppliers Community (RISC) was formed in 2007 at the instigation of the Home Office.  The purpose was to reduce the fragmented way in which the Office for Security and Counter Terrorism (OSCT) dealt with the security sector and, in so doing, help ensure the efficient and timely delivery of quality national security capabilities to government in support of the National Security Strategy and sub-strategies such as CONTEST.

RISC is an inclusive alliance of the three national Trade Associations which represent the security sector: ADS, which represents the UK’s advanced manufacturing companies in the aerospace, defence, security and space sectors as well as companies operating in high risk environments; the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), which represents companies supplying security guarding, consultancy services and physical security equipment; and techUK, which represents companies in the information technology sector.
