Commercial and Legal Board
WHAT IS THE COMMERCIAL AND LEGAL BOARD?
The aims of the Commercial and Legal Board (CLB) are to both ensure that Members are aware of new legislation, and changes to existing legislation that affect their businesses or the way they run their businesses, and also to advise Members on contracting, legal, financial and other commercial issues that may affect their businesses.
The CLB provides industry inputs to consultation processes and represents Members’ interests on a number of external groups, including:
- NDIC Commercial Policy Steering Group and the Commercial Policy Delivery Group;
their Sub-Groups –
- Joint MOD/DEFCON Working Group and the DEFCON Working Group,
- Joint IPR Group and Defence Issues Working Group,
- Joint MOD/Industry Sustainable Procurement working Group,
- and the EU Defence and Security Directive Working Group
Additionally, the CLB maintains representation in commercial work associated with OCCAR, OCIP, and EDA.
This particular group is categorised as a ‘Board or Committee’ ADS Boards and Committees generally operate at the more strategic level and have more specific criteria for joining and limited vacancies for Members to apply for. If you are interested and request to join a Board or Committee it will require further follow up from the group owner to confirm vacancies and suitability.
