ADS Space Sector Council
ADS SPACE SECTOR COUNCIL
The ADS Space Sector Council (SSC), chaired by Kata Escott, Managing Director and Head of Country of Airbus Defence and Space UK, comprises a number of individuals from organisations across the UK’s space sector, both large and small.
The main purpose of the SSC is to set the strategy for the Space Sector of ADS, working closely with relevant stakeholders from across the wider ecosystem, and internal ADS colleagues. In addition to policy direction, the SSC acts as a focus for all Space activity within ADS, including Boards, Committees and Special Interest Groups that have a Space interest.
The SSC will seek to engage with Government ministers and officials across DBT, DSIT, MOD, UK Space Command, and others, in order to ensure that Space is well understood; that Industry’s position is clear, and; that ADS truly reflects the views and aspirations of all of its members.
The SSC was established in 2025, and sat for the first time in April 2025. While Kata Escott Chairs the Council, ADS is the Secretariat.
