ADS South West Advisory Council
The advisory council is made up of individuals nominated from representative companies, and agreed upon by existing council members, the chair and the ADS South West Director.
This particular group is categorised as a ‘Board or Committee’. ADS Boards and Committees generally operate at the more strategic level and have more specific criteria for joining and limited vacancies for Members to apply for. If you are interested and request to join a Board or Committee it will require further follow up from the group owner to confirm vacancies and suitability.
The advisory council will be made up of Subject Matter Experts, providing industry oversight and support, in the first instance, to the ADS South West Director and team. It will act as a convening body that champions the South West by:
- Helping to understand the strategic needs of companies across the supply chain within the South West aerospace, defence, security and space sectors.
- Working towards securing long term sustainable growth for the sector.
- Providing regional knowledge to the ADS Nations and Regions Council, to provide focus on regional policy development.
- Coordinating regional stakeholders with a focus on activities, events and policies, across the clusters within the region.
- Ensuring that the regional offering is aligned to the key industrial sectors within the South West, recognising the region’s strengths in ADS’ sectors.
