WHAT IS THE SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT WORKING GROUP (SPWG)?
The Sustainable Procurement Working Group is a joint MOD/Industry forum for the department and its suppliers to consider jointly how best to embed Sustainable Procurement into both purchaser and supplier business practices. The group is co-chaired by industry and MOD representatives. Dr Sam Healey (QinetiQ) is the current industry chair, and Dr Andy Clifton (Rolls-Royce) is the current industry vice-co chair.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE GROUP?
The aim of the Sustainable Procurement Working Group is to allow the MOD and its suppliers to work on Sustainable Procurement issues collaboratively, sharing methods of best practice, areas for further work and the planning of Sustainable Procurement events. The group produces collaborative documents relating to Sustainable Procurement, which are available to all ADS members who have joined the group's shared area on the ADS website.
