UTAC Millbrook provides automotive engineering advice and testing to UK MoD and Defence Industry worldwide. It has considerable knowledge and experience of military vehicle experimentation and has tested and trialled every in-service wheeled and most tracked military vehicles for the MoD. Millbrook Proving Ground is a 700 acre site that contains all types of terrains and surfaces required by DefStan, MilStd and AECP tests. Uniquely, it has extensive hills both on road and in its large off road test area. In addition to Millbrook Proving Ground, where the Defence Team are based, UTAC can draw upon its extensive facilities in the UK and worldwide, to provide automotive trails and testing. These include a large Climatic Chamber, capable of taking vehicles larger than a double decker bus, as well as extensive dynamic and static test facilities – any vehicle, any component, any test.
As an organisation, UTAC Millbrook is able to draw on its wider experience, knowledge and facilities that are in constant use by the wider automotive industry for experimentation and development of new capabilities.
