Smart Audio Technologies is a multi award winning British defence and dual use technology SME at the forefront of solving mission critical communication challenges in extreme operational environments. Clear, reliable communications are essential to operational effectiveness and safety across defence, aviation, emergency services and healthcare. Our patented Secure by Design edge AI noise elimination technology enables clear voice communications in environments of up to 135 dB, delivering performance many hundreds of times better than incumbent solutions on a logarithmic scale, compared with the current benchmark of around 110 dB. We have also developed the world’s first secure edge AI speech to speech translation solution for mission critical communications, delivering around 97% accuracy in near real time across NATO and other operationally important languages, entirely on device without connectivity or external infrastructure. The same platform also powers AI assisted clinical scribing and multilingual patient communications for healthcare environments. Our next generation tactical communications and hearing protection headset is demonstrating performance significantly beyond incumbent solutions in laboratory simulations, whilst helping reduce the risk of hearing loss among frontline operators.
