Founded in 2017, Sintela is a Bristol based founder-owned SME which conducts research, design, manufacture, and field support of our Distributed Fiber-Optic Sensing (DFOS) systems.

Our ONYX™ fiber-optic Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) system is deployed world-wide and is used to provide long range, gapless and persistent monitoring of pipelines, telecommunications and power cables, as well as railways and highways, for security and health monitoring. 

ONYX™ systems used for border surveillance are deployed by the US Customs and Border Protection along the US Mexican border, as well as by others in the Middle East. ONYX™ is also deployed for intruder detection around the perimeters of Critical National Infrastructure around the world.
