Safeguard Engineering Limited is an independent safety and environmental engineering consultancy. Safeguard was founded in 2013 and established an Employee-Owned Trust in 2025. Our company was formed to meet a growing demand for specialist safety and environmental engineering advice across Defence, Maritime, Land, Aviation, and Commercial sectors, that is completely impartial, cost effective, and operates with integrity and trust. 

Safeguard employ a dedicated team of over 60 consultants consisting of highly experienced engineers, environmentalists and ex-defence personnel from diverse disciplines, including safety, marine, aviation, explosives, nuclear, digital, and environmental protection. Supplementing our consultants are a support network of trusted associates and partners.  

Safeguard is a corporate member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and staff are accredited to leading professional bodies including the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Safety and Reliability Society, Royal Aeronautical Society, Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, Royal Institution of Naval Architects and the IET.   

We apply this extensive expertise with a multi-disciplinary approach, integrating best practices and lessons learned across different sectors to deliver a truly comprehensive service, building enduring relationships with our clients. We work collaboratively with stakeholders to align assurance with programme objectives, ensuring compliance without hindering innovation and operational capability.
