Piran Advanced Composites Limited, part of the Piran Technology group of companies, is involved in the design, design for manufacture and manufacture of advanced composite components and structures. Working primarily in the fields of aerospace, defence and marine we employ autoclave, oven and press curing capabilities along with multiple 5-axis CNC machining centres.
Our capability list includes four autoclaves ranging from 1 metre diameter by 2 metres long up to 3 metre diameter by 5 metres long.
There are four Class 8 cleanrooms and two automated ply cutters in their own temperature and humidity monitored area.
Our machining capability consists of six 5-axis CNC machining enters with a maximum capacity of 4.0 metres by 3.2 metres by 1.5 metres
We specialise in lightweight and ultra -lightweight structures, drones, UAV and HAPS systems.
AS9100 Rev D accredited, Cyber Essentials Plus certified and Joscar registered with a number of blue-chip company specific approvals and authorities.
Our Level 3 Apprenticeship training programme in conjunction with Truro and Penwith College is now in its second year and we have a current total of 14 apprentices.
