Navantia UK is a new force in British industry, delivering sovereign capability and supporting the UK’s defence and security at a critical time. As a key player in the £1.6 billion Fleet Solid Support (FSS) programme, we are helping to reshape the future of British naval shipbuilding by constructing three of the largest UK military vessels in decades. At 216 metres long – each the length of two Premier League football pitches – they will be second in size only to the Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers and will provide vital replenishment support to Royal Navy warships around the world.We are proudly bringing naval shipbuilding back to Harland & Wolff in Belfast, home to two of Europe’s largest drydocks and a shipbuilding legacy that includes over 1,700 vessels, among them HMS Belfast and six World War II aircraft carriers. Together with our Appledore facility – renowned for its naval and commercial shipbuilding pedigree – and supported by sites in Methil and Arnish, Navantia UK is establishing a sovereign industrial footprint capable of delivering complex warships faster, smarter and with nationwide impact.
