We are an agile advanced precision manufacturing company specialising in high-tolerance, 5-axis CNC machining. Using automated Hermle pallet pool machines, we facilitate 24/7 “lights out” production for the aerospace, defence and space sectors.
What automated production means for our customers
Automated pallet handling allows our machines to continue cutting through nights and weekends without operator intervention.
For a customer, that translates into three things: capacity that does not depend on shift patterns, consistency across a batch because every part is produced under identical conditions, and lead times that hold when a programme moves left.
Agility & Capacity Headroom = Shorter lead Times & increased productivity.
We monitor spindle utilisation directly from the machines. That figure is machine-logged rather than estimated, and we are happy to share it as part of a capacity discussion.
Capability
5-axis CNC machining to [tolerance] on components up to 850 x 850mm
Materials:aluminium alloys, stainless and alloy steels, titanium, nickel-based superalloys and other non metallics, details on request.
Batch sizes from one-off through to scale.
Inspection: Zeiss 5-axis CMM with active scanning.
Special processes, heat treatment, NDT, surface finishing, managed through approved subcontractors
Quality and approvals
Machina Engineering is certified to EN 9100:2018 (technically equivalent to AS9100D) and ISO 9001:2015 under BSI certificate FM 843945, UKAS-accredited through the ADS aerospace scheme. The certified scope is CNC machining services for precision engineered components.
We are Cyber Essentials Plus Certified and registered on JOSCAR. We hold NATO Commercial and Government Entity CAGE U2HT9.
Full material traceability is maintained through our EN 9100:2018 quality management system, with mill certification retained and supplied with delivered parts.

Working with us
We work with primes and tier one suppliers as a machining partner on both new programmes and second-source qualification. If capacity, lead time or resilience is a live problem on a machined commodity family, we would welcome the conversation.
