ForgeFront has a strong track record supporting UK defence and security customers on data-led research and insights, futures and foresight and policy recommendations. We supply defence customers through frameworks including ASTRID, Aurora Futures Lab and R-Cloud, as well as the wider UK Government through the R&I DPS and the Futures Procurement Framework. We are members of the Association of Professional Futurists and the Global Futures Society, and have a strong partnership with the American forecasting company Good Judgment Inc, known for its network of the world’s best forecasters (the ‘Superforecasters’), and expertise applied directly to defence threat forecasting and intelligence assessments. We have developed a unique methodology called ‘Future.Ctrl’, designed to bridge a gap between three disciplines: high quality futures thinking, probability-based forecasting and real-world policy delivery. Future.Ctrl helps governments and organisations stress-test strategies, make confident decisions under uncertainty, and turn long-term signals into practical action through probability thresholds. We have also developed an online Future.Ctrl course, with a global customer base, and a foresight maturity assessment tool called FORGE. Our clients include the defence community, Defra (biosecurity), GO-Science (supply chain resilience), and DBSIT (engbio), alongside international government clients like the Dubai Future Foundation and the Cayman Islands government.
