Commenting on this week's announcements by the Prime Minister of new Departments and their Ministers, ADS Chief Executive Kevin Craven said:
“ADS congratulate Kemi Badenoch, Michelle Donelan and Grant Shapps on their appointments today to very important roles for the success of our industries.
“Our employers in the UK’s aerospace, defence, security and space sectors will be looking to their Departments to help us in securing UK advantage by making Britain a science and technology superpower, competing and winning in global markets and gaining significant share in the developing net zero technologies of tomorrow.
“We are looking forward to working with the new Departments on these vital agendas. Our members will also be keen to understand how they will work together with industry on major issues affecting our global competitiveness including skills, rising costs of doing business and securing investment.”
The announcement saw the creation of three new Departments, with responsibilities covering those of the former Departments for Business, Trade, and Culture, Media & Sport.
The new Departments are: Department for Business and Trade; Department for Energy Security and Net Zero; and the Departmen for Science, Innovation and Technology.
