The services will be provided as part of a consortium led by Alpha Consult, of which Serco in Italy is a sub-contractor. EUSPA mission is to be the user-oriented operational Agency of the European Union Space Programme.
As part of this contract, Serco and its partners will provide services facilitating market development and contributing to implement the EUSPA strategy addressing all Space Programme components, offering operational support for Galileo, Copernicus and GOVSATCOM user uptake and coordination. The consortium will also support the development of downstream applications.
The contract award comes at a timely moment as Serco Europe recently opened an office in the Czech Republic, where the company already provides Operations and Evolution of Data Access and User Support Services to the European Space Agency as part of a Serco-led consortium.
Roberto Mulatti, Managing Director of Serco in Italy and the Czech Republic said: “We are proud to have been selected to provide services to EUSPA, a new customer at the heart of the EU’s New Space approach. We look forward to enhancing our skills and capabilities to further support EUSPA in its mission and consolidate our presence in the Czech Republic.”
