During the European Council of Ministers on 26 – 27 November 2025, the UK announced a £1.7bn investment package in ESA programmes.

This commitment brings the UK’s total support for ESA to £2.8bn over the next decade, backing high-skill jobs, innovation and the technologies that will strengthen connectivity, resilience and national capability.

Read our reaction from ADS CEO, Kevin Craven below:

ADS welcomes the UK Government’s ongoing commitment to ESA. The efforts of the negotiation team are a positive outcome for the UK’s space sector, recognising the challenging fiscal environment reflected in yesterday’s Budget. It is crucial that the Government secures a healthy return on its investments into these ESA programmes, while providing a clear buying signal to industry for its capability goals and maintaining our strategic autonomy. ADS is ready to help facilitate this process and build on our strong relationships with European partners.
