Overview
This workshop will bring industry stakeholders together to explore how Digital Product Passport (DPP) can be deployed in a practical, scalable and commercially viable way.The aerospace & defence sector is at a critical juncture.
Ageing fleets, tightening sustainability regulation, counterfeit-risk mitigation and increasingly fragmented global supply chains are driving the need for greater product transparency and lifecycle traceability.
A DPP has the potential to provide a secure, interoperable, lifecycle-long digital record that integrates:
- Origin and material composition
- Configuration and certification data
- Maintenance and service history
- Ownership and operational records
- End-of-life and circularity pathway.
However, the primary challenge is not technology — it is industry alignment.
To move from concept to implementation, the sector must address shared standards, governance frameworks, interoperability and commercial viability across OEMs, MROs, suppliers, operators and regulators.
This workshop will bring industry stakeholders together to explore how DPP can be deployed in a practical, scalable and commercially viable way.
Workshop Objectives
Participants will:
- Develop a shared understanding of DPP in an aerospace context
- Identify priority use cases with highest industry value
- Explore minimum viable data and standardisation requirements
- Examine governance, trust and identity models
- Define a potential 12-month roadmap for industry collaboration.
What to expect
The session will include:
- Context-setting presentation and DPP refresher
- Discussion on interoperability and cross-industry collaboration
- Exploration of data alignment and lifecycle integration
- Structured breakout discussions focused on:
- Priority problems DPP should address first
- Minimum data products and harmonisation needs
- Required level of ecosystem participation
- Commercial models for scalable adoption
- Data governance, ownership and sovereignty
- Roadmap and pilot opportunities.
The workshop will conclude with consolidated insights and proposed next steps for continued collaboration. It will also include faciliatated break out workshops which you will be pre-allocated to.
Who should attend
This session is relevant for:
- OEMs
- MRO organisations
- Tier 1–3 suppliers
- Digital engineering and transformation leaders
- Data and standards specialists
- Regulatory and compliance professionals.
Outcomes
By the end of the workshop, attendees will have:
- Greater clarity on DPP opportunities and challenges
- A prioritised set of use cases
- Alignment on minimum data and collaboration requirements
- Initial direction for proof-of-value or pilot initiatives.
