ADS will be hosting the United Kingdom Pavilion once again at IDEX 2027.

The International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) is a premier defence exhibition serving as a global platform for showcasing cutting-edge defence technologies and fostering collaboration among international defence entities. IDEX has unmatched reach attracting an increasing number of decision-makers from the defence industry, government agencies, armed forces, and military personnel worldwide. As a world-leading event in the defence sector, IDEX will provide access to an extensive network of global leaders, policymakers, and decision-makers, and an opportunity to reach thousands of prime contractors, OEMs, and international delegations.

Market Insight

IDEX is one of the largest and most significant defence exhibitions in the world showcasing a comprehensive range of military products, including land, air, and naval platforms, as well as defence systems. With its strategic location in the UAE, IDEX serves as a hub for international contractors and regional buyers to meet and negotiate defence contracts.

The exhibition is crucial for Middle Eastern defence spending cycles as it marks the beginning of new procurement initiatives. Military officials from across the region attend IDEX to assess the latest technologies and equipment, forming partnerships and forging contracts that can influence national defence budgets.

The UAE defence budget is estimated to be valued at $25 billion in 2024 and projected to reach $30.7bn (Dh112.6bn) by 2029, making it an ideal time for companies to engage with the UAE market and decision-making officials. This surge in defence expenditure aligns with UAEs strategic vision to position the country as a regional leader in defence and security and signals a drive to boost its military capabilities amidst escalating regional tensions. Key priorities are military preparedness and border security, including investments in advanced weaponry, cyber defence and intelligence capabilities.

(Key players in the region include government-owned EDGE Group that consolidates over 25 defence and technology companies. The Group focuses on innovation, with a heavy emphasis on artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and cybersecurity solutions.)
