Statement on US tariffs in Airbus case
Following the decision by the US Trade Representative to increase tariffs on aircraft and aerospace components imported from the EU, ADS Chief Executive Paul Everitt said:
“The decision by the US to raise tariffs on aircraft and other goods imported from the EU is a regrettable and unwelcome escalation in this long-running trade dispute.
“Low tariffs on aerospace products globally have helped give consumers safe, technology advanced and increasingly fuel efficient aircraft that connect global communities.
“We urge the EU and US authorities to work together to find a mutually beneficial solution that removes the threat of tariffs and sustains competitive markets.”
