The Government has today announced that it intends to defer the planned House of Commons vote on the Withdrawal Agreement it has negotiated to agree the terms of the UK's exit from the European Union. This vote had been expected to take place on Tuesday 11 December.

ADS has responded to this delay and its implications for industry.

ADS Chief Executive Paul Everitt said:

“There is little time remaining before the UK is set to leave the European Union and continued uncertainty is extremely unhelpful.

“We hope the Government now acts quickly to present plans to Parliament that will allow a transition period to be confirmed and talks on our future relationship with the EU to progress.”
