RFEL is now Cyber Essentials Certified

The growing threat of cyber terrorism and commercial cyber attacks means that it is vital for companies to put measures into place to mitigate the risk from such threats.  RFEL has just achieved Cyber Essential certification which demonstrates that the company has robust IT defences that are designed to combat cyber attacks.  The scheme has been designed by the UK Government to help organisations mitigate internet-based risks. The BIS 2014 Information Security Breaches survey reported that 81% of large organisations had experienced a security breach of some sort. This costs each organisation, on average, between £600,000 and £1.5 million.

Dr Alex Kuhrt, RFEL’s CEO, explained: “We have been undertaking projects for military and security organisations for over a decade and hence have always been in the forefront of maintaining extremely high levels of security.  Cyber attacks are becoming increasingly frequent and more sophisticated, therefore it is vital for all companies to have measures in place to protect company and customer data.  Having Cyber Essentials certification confirms to your customers that you have not only put measures into place to protect your own systems but also the interfaces to them which are potential attack points.”

Following this successful certification, RFEL is now working toward the higher certification, Cyber Essentials Plus, which includes penetration testing.
