Passengers can take one of the five scheduled flights per week and arrive in less than an hour, to enjoy the land of Norman castles, stunning valleys and impressive mountain ranges of Northern Ireland.

Contemporary Belfast is enjoying a growing reputation as a food destination, where you can indulge in a wide breadth of quality dining or even an Ulster Fry – Northern Ireland’s equivalent of a full English.  It’s also a popular destination for fans of the TV series, Game of Thrones as many famous scenes have been shot on the beautiful North Antrim Coast.

Highlights for fans include the Dark Hedges where the King’s Road was filmed and the picturesque Harbour of Carnlough depicting the streets of Braavos. Belfast has a rich and immersive culture, including an important industrial heritage, popular sites include the Titanic quarter, where RMS Titanic was built. Visitors can also enjoy the bustling retail offering, bars and restaurants, important parts of the city’s recent regeneration, and stroke the Salmon of Knowledge, on Donegall Quay.

Doncaster Sheffield Airport continues to grow with over 55 destinations across Europe, and was named the UK’s best small airport by Which? Consumer Group, and is proud to firmly claim its place as a stress-free traveling experience. Offering unrivalled customer experience from the moment of arrival, the airport scored almost 20% higher than any other small UK airport (under 10 million passengers) in customer satisfaction in the recent survey.

Chris Harcombe, Aviation Development Director at DSA comments: “We are really excited to start this Belfast route especially as we will see the Great Yorkshire Way motorway link road right to the airport fully open at the end of this week, making travelling for our passengers even more convenient.

“This new route to Belfast offers more choice for our passengers and we are thrilled to be working closely with Flybe to put on routes that our customers want to see.”

The opening of phase two of the Great Yorkshire Way will improve access, linking Doncaster Sheffield Airport directly to the M18. The site could be made further accessible by public transport from many UK towns and cities with the addition of the proposed East Coast Mainline link to the airport, which could be in place by 2024.
