CDS DS awarded £30m JCG contract
Gloucestershire based consultancy, CDS Defence & Security (CDS DS) has been awarded a contract to deliver Support Services to the Joint CEMA Group (JCG) for Project ERUGATE, over five years and to a potential value of £30 million.

CDS DS has delivered mission critical support activities to Project ERUGATE for over 19 years, providing a team of specialist engineers, operators, analysts, project managers and support staff at JCG sites overseas and in the UK. Our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) have also delivered training and
mentoring to Forces personnel as they move in and out of roles.
The three-year contract, with an option for a further 1 + 1 year extension, was awarded as a result of CDS DS’ long history and significant experiences with this project.
CDS DS Managing Director Richard Bradley said of the contract win: “CDS DS are delighted to have secured this contract for a further five years. We have been an integral part of this project for almost 20 years, growing our team incrementally from two people to over 50 to provide experienced, skilled and qualified personnel into a number of roles which had traditionally been reserved for uniformed personnel.
At a time when the most effective use of military manpower is constantly under review, this is a true example of the Whole Force Approach in action, seamlessly blending together the skills of serving personnel and commercial organisations to maximise front end capability, reduce costs whilst still delivering vital consistency and continuity.”
Squadron Leader James Mathew, of JCG, said of CDS DS’ involvement: “CDS DS provide our project with Subject Matter Expertise, project management services and specialist training. The knowledge and experience they provide often goes above and beyond what we expect from them.”
CDS Defence & Security were awarded an Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award in 2019.It provides consultancy services in training, engineering and cyber security & information assurance, with an approach which is wholly output driven with a focus on enhanced operational effectiveness, maximised people performance and the management and reduction of risk. It is part of the UK Ministry of Defence Whole Force Approach, placing industry experts alongside full-time military personnel, reserve forces and civil servants to achieve the right mix of skills at the forefront of military capability.
