Boeing has appointed Anna Keeling as Managing Director of Boeing Defence UK (BDUK). Keeling (right) succeeds David Pitchforth, who had been serving as managing director of Boeing Defence UK and VP of Boeing Defense Space & Security’s Global Operations business. Pitchforth has announced his retirement after a 37 year career in the aerospace and automotive industries and a decade at Boeing, where he created a successful business and delivered many programmes for UK government and security.

“David has been key to the growth of Boeing in the UK and the successful delivery of our equipment, training and infrastructure programmes,” Leanne Caret, president and CEO of Boeing Defense, Space & Security said. “We are grateful for his hard work and dedication as well as the fantastic team he has developed. We welcome Anna and fully support her in continuing to deliver the very best for our UK customers.”

Keeling has two decades of experience in the aerospace and automotive sectors. She joined Boeing from GKN Aerospace, where she was senior vice president of both business transformation and commercial, responsible for leading the company’s business improvement plan and aligning customer strategy.

Before GKN, she served as director of sales for Cytec, a global advanced materials manufacturing company, and she worked in senior programme management, commercial and business development roles at Hexcel Corporation. Her early career was spent in the automotive industry in Australia and Asia. She has a degree in aerospace engineering and an MBA. She was named one of 2017’s 100 Women to Watch in The Female FTSE Board Report.

Turbo Sjogren has been named vice president of International Government and Defence. He will assume Pitchforth’s other responsibilities in a new role overseeing the full international defence portfolio to include platforms and services.
