WHAT IS THE LEGAL INTEREST GROUP (LEGING)?
The Legal Interest Group (LegInG) is a Special Interest Group for ADS Members who have a particular interest in, or involvement with, the legal environment in which their companies conduct business.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE GROUP?
The aims of the new group are to: Provide a focus for greater mutual understanding of current legal issues including the likely impact of decisions and rulings by courts and similar bodies. Ensure Members’ interests are represented to Government departments and other organisations and that their views are taken into account during the drafting of new or amended legislation and regulations. Promote, foster and encourage a close working relationship with the DoJ, ERG/OGC, BIS, and other Government departments, regulatory bodies and appropriate professional bodies. Ensure Members are aware of the potential impacts that new or amended legislation may have on the legal environment in which they do business.
