We provide a full system development capability from technology consultancy, proof-of-concept demonstration and system design, through to manufacture and support of deployable equipment for our Defence and Security clients.
We have world leading skills in security, sensing, location and wireless technology, covering short-range radar systems, optical sensing systems for surveillance, CBRNE and authentication applications, complex data fusion; global, regional and local positioning systems as well as wireless system design for communication, surveillance and Force Protection.
Our skills are both broad and deep across a range of scientific and engineering disciplines including product design, user-centred design, simulation and algorithm design, low power electronics, system validation and programme management.

MSL is a MOD FATS-STS/D&E registered, ISO9001-2008 certified Company that has been working continually for the MOD and military aircraft industry primes since 2006. The Company has a proven track record of undertaking independent airworthiness support tasks for MOD large transport and ISTAR platforms and delivering on-time, on-cost, high quality results.
Our core business is the sustainment and safety of military aircraft, using a range of airworthiness review methodologies, supplemented by practical, on-aircraft system interconnectivity inspection, structural repair assessment and zonal survey. The bulk of recent MSL work has been with platform project teams (Sentry, C-130, Chinook, Sentinel, and UK MFTS); it also includes a range of substantial ageing aircraft research and development tasks for Dstl. These projects have contributed to the development of the MOD’s understanding of ageing aircraft risks and issues, channelled through the MAA-chaired Systems Airworthiness Advisory Group (SAAG) and Ageing Aircraft Programme Working Group (AAPWG).

The Technology Partnership (TTP) provides product and technology design and development services to our clients. Based at our headquarters near Cambridge, TTP has 270 engineers and scientists. Our 30 years of experience helps us to provide a strong range and depth of technical and development expertise from across a broad variety of markets, including industrial, defence, security, aerospace, medical, consumer and automotive. Key areas of expertise and capability include : RF signal management (jamming & control), data security devices, covert systems, tracking, location, wireless sensors and processing platforms. Specific technology areas include : communications, power electronics, high-end processing, algorithm development, embedded software, digital broadcasting, optical design, automated inspection/vision systems, micro/nano technology, microfluidics and mechanical designs. Additionally, TTP's ability to rapidly develop technology from initial proof of concept through to the availability of full production units is highly valued by its clients.
