Building on the success of its previous Nordic conferences, ADS is jointly organising a conference, with its counterpart in Denmark, the Defense & Aerospace Industries Association of Denmark (FAD).  FAD has some 80 member companies, amongst which are such well known commercial names such as Terma A/S.

Benefits of Attending

This proposed event will provide a platform to explore business development opportunities between both industries, whether seeking new business, collaborative partners in each country or to address opportunities in third countries, or new sources of supply. Attendance at this event is essential for any companies supplying defence and aerospace equipment and services. The Danish Government has a firm policy on ‘industrial cooperation/offset’, so this will be a great opportunity for British businesses to hear from the Danes about these requirements.

Department for International Trade officials from the British Embassy in Copenhagen and the Defence and Security Organisation in London will also be on hand to offer advice on points of contact/introductions and doing business in Denmark.

Danish Defence Opportunity

On 11th October the Danish Government proposed a 20% increase in its defence budget in order to what it has termed as “deterring a growing threat from Russia”.  This means that the total increase in the defence budget would amount to £575m+ by 2023, taking Denmark to a level of spending equivalent to 1.3% of GDP, which is quite significant for a small country with limited resources.
