ADS is proud to be working alongside the Department of Business and Trade (DBT) and the British Embassy to host a Defence Trade Mission to Helsinki.
Event format
On Tuesday 7 October 2025 we will host the trade mission at the British Ambassador's Residence in Helsinki. This will be a table top-style event featuring networking opportunities with UK and local stakeholders, welcome speeches from industry leaders, and capability and doctrine discussions supported by UK government representatives.
This will be followed by an evening reception for UK delegates.
Market Insight
The UK and Finland have a long history of defence cooperation, including military exercises and training, with the UK playing a crucial role in securing Finland's NATO accession. This year, both governments further solidified their relationship by signing a Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership, highlighting their ambition to expand cooperation in support of Ukraine and bolster European security.
With Finland's recent accession to NATO and the completion of their first NATO deployment under NATO's Air Policing and Air Shielding mission in Romania, the trade mission will naturally have a strong focus on NATO integration and support for Ukraine.
