ADS Scotland is delighted to support Lockheed Martin and offer members the ideal opportunity to engage in this outstanding initiative.

This event is by invitation only.

At this stage we are asking companies to register their interest in attending and indicating which of the five key technical areas are of relevance to them. The deadline for registering interest is 14 June.

As part of the UK Satellite & Launch Programme, Lockheed Martin (LM) has been awarded a grant by the UK Space Agency to conduct a Pathfinder Launch from a new UK spaceport on the A’Mhoine peninsula in Scotland. As the Launch Service Provider (LSP), LM are responsible to provide a range of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) that will interface with the chosen launch vehicle.

On 23 July this year Lockheed Martin will be holding an invite‐only UK Satellite & Launch Programme (UKSLP) SME Industry Day in Glasgow.

This SME Industry Day will be a two‐way forum offering suppliers the opportunity to learn about Lockheed Martin’s plans for UKSLP and for potential new suppliers to describe their capabilities. Attendance will give your company exposure to the program requirement needs within Lockheed Martin. This session will include an overview of the Lockheed Martin UKLSP project in the UK and the overarching UKSA Spaceflight Programme. Conference participants will have an opportunity to meet with representatives from various Technical, Commercial and Procurement tracks. Please note this information is not a contracting meeting.

LM are looking to engage with suppliers in the UK for 5 key technical areas

  • Vehicle Launcher & Lift System
  • LOx Fill/Chill System
  • Hydraulic System
  • High Pressure Gas Systems
  • Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE)

If you have a proven track record in any of these areas, you will be invited to fill out a relevant RFI sheet which will be provided to you. This will allow LM to select suppliers to attend our SME Industry Day and it is highly recommended that you provide case studies that align with the technical expertise requirement area.

If invited to complete a RFI, responses and data will be required by no later than 28 June 2019 for Lockheed Martin to assess your viability for invitation to the SME Industry Day. If successfully downselected then an NDA will have to be put in place for your organisation to attend the event. After the completion of our SME Industry Day LMUK will further down‐select suppliers and provide 'build to data sheets' and ask for a formal quotation for the supply of GSE. In the meantime, if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us.

To register your interest, please email indicating which of the five key technical areas are of relevance to you by 14 June 2019.
